The Digital Switchover is Coming! Are you ready?

Radio Microphone Frequency Change

In 2003, the UK Government announced that all analogue TV transmitters would be shut off, and replaced with new digital transmitters – affecting equipment that uses these soon to be shut off channels.

The current home for wireless radio microphones is Channel 69, which sits just above the analogue TV spectrum, and as part of the digital switchover this channel is due to be reconfigured for other use.
As of 2012, wireless equipment will work from a new spectrum, Channel 38.

How will this affect me?

If your radio microphones fall within the affected bands you may no longer be able to use them leagally.  You may also suffer with interference, or loss of signal.
